Is one really better or worse than the other? Seems like a Kobayashi Maru to me.
It's laughable that a Manchester United "fan" is taking any pleasure in Manchester City winning the league, even if it does mean Liverpool not winning.

I don't have the misfortune of knowing many Man City fans. I do, however, know plenty of Liverpool fans. Thus the suffering will be greater if Liverpool nick it.

One of those I share office with, a woman aged 56, lives with a man who is an avid City fan. He's almost 60 and would've been a young boy the last time City were any good. I guess he was happy Sheik Mansour turned up just in time to assist in the brainwashing of their daughters (or, their younger daughter - the older of the two isn't into football). Easier to get her into following his favourite team when they're actually successful ...

Im a Utd fan and I would prefer Liverpool to win rather than City. 5 or 10 years ago, no but now I'd rather Liveepool because I dont want City to get 2 in a row. Its fucked up but there it is. Plus Im bored of Liverpool fans sayin "next year is our year." Although it looks like that will continue.
