I don't watch a lot of Spanish football so I obviously miss a lot of Messi, but the way people go on about him being the undisputed greatest of all time just doesn't tally with what I've seen of him in the Champions League and World Cups. He's technically on another level, especially in passing, but severelly lacking in leadership in big games. He's not even better than Zidane who's the greatest I've seen watching football, nevermind the Pele's or Maradona's* of this world.

*I saw Maradona but was too young for his heyday.
