Liverpool are on tremendous form at the moment and if Manchester City don't win tomorrow then Liverpool will go into the New Year nine points ahead with eighteen games remaining. That's a formidable lead. However, City host Liverpool on January 3rd which will be a huge match even if the gap is seven points.

If City were this far ahead I would probably trust them to win the league but Liverpool, despite their devastating form, are still Liverpool. Either way, Utd for 4th!

My thoughts exactly. Part of me still thinks that they won't make it easy for themselves. City might beat them on Thursday and break Liverpool's momentum before the FA Cup break.
