I'm somewhat annoyed the Vikings lost today. They're my other favorite team. Bridgewater has tons of potential.

Anyways, Go Colts! and most of all GO HAWKS!!!!

I think that all hopes for Cutler out were dashed when the ink dried on his contract. Thats just too big of a bill for anyone else to take up and too much for chicago to eat if they just cut him. He's the QB for 2 more seasons there.

I was bummed the Colts went down to the 'boys. And KC had another loss... :/

Not the day I was hoping for.

Current speculation is Chicago will give away a top draft pick with Cutler in exchange for multiple picks. Otherwise you're right: no team will take on that contract. Essentially, they'll trade Cutler for several picks, and they'll trade a number one pick for getting out of Cutler's contract.

Titans are a good possibility for this trade: they have the #2 pick, and getting the proven QB in Cutler is the better gamble this year. Bucs are also possible, as Lovie Smith knows Cutler. Jags won't take it, they just drafted Bortles.

True. And the other team I heard that had enough cap-room to take on that contract was the Jets. But they would have to want him... :)

Jets will be getting a new coach, so everything about them is hard to predict. But yes, they clearly need a QB, and they have a front office dim enough to take a questionable deal to get one.

It was great to see the Pack have a better game. Still, they should have scored twice as many points against Tampa Bay. Next week's game will be really exciting since it's for the division title.

Wow! What a victory today for the Seahawks.

We're just that much closer to the superbowl! Good luck to the winner of the Dallas - Green Bay game. You guys will need it.

Well, that what a mega nail biter of a game! I just with the Packers weren't so hot and cold and could maintain good playing throughout. AND THEY NEED TO STOP THE FUCKING PENALTIES!!!!!

All the Packers had to do was bat away the ball on that 2 point conversion instead of trying to catch it. SIGH :( Oh well. A super great friend of mine is a Patriots fan so I'm cheering along with her.

Well Travis, your Packers played a heck of a game, but my Seahawks came through.

On to the Super Bowl!!!!!!!!!!

How could the Packers have have blown that game? Almost impossible to lose if you force the fifth turnover with a two-score lead in the fourth quarter, yet the Pack managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Poor execution and incompetent coaching. Gave it away. One of the most devastating losses I've ever seen. I don't even like the Packers, but I feel bad for their fans. An epic fail.

Two of the most reprehensible coaches in NFL history matching up in the Super Bowl. Tough to pick a team to root for, but I'll go with the Stanford guys (Sherman and Baldwin) in Seattle.

incompetent coaching

As a lifelong Packers fan, I'm finding myself understanding exactly why John Fox got fired.

At the same time, like the Broncos if Manning returns, we're not in rebuilding mode. We're not in the market for a questionable coach like these coordinators that are always shuffling around. I can't think of any candidates who would be an upgrade, now that Rex is in Buffalo.

Sadly, the most practical solution is that someone buy McCarthy a magnifying glass so he can find his testicles next time he's six inches from a touchdown.

I'd give you a plus one on that.

Not many 'good' coaches out there. Though, I could see someone like Shannahan (sp?) doing well in Green Bay-- solid QB, good running attack, solid D. Who knows?

Not a Shanahan fan. I saw too much of him in Denver. He's one of the few decent candidates, though - if and only if he finds an OC that doesn't hold Rodgers back, since we know Shanahan loves to run the ball. (Which is great, feed Eddie Lacy, but not too much.)

As a Chicagoan, I guess I have to hate the Packers, so yay Seattle!

I honestly don't care who wins as far as teams go, so the question is: do I prefer Washington state or New England?
