If you're on the 1 yard line, Why would you not give it to Lynch???

I'm speechless....

Dumbest decision I've ever seen in a Super Bowl. It boggles the mind.

But thank H. This will hopefully make the Packers collapse look a little better. We're not the only ones who blew a double-digit lead in spectacular fashion.

Why wouldn't you run the football? I feel bad for buddy who made that spectacular catch just before. Wasted his heroics. But I'm happy for the Patriots.

Pre-season starts tomorrow with the Steelers and Vikings!

Last year's SB was one of the most amazing comebacks I've ever seen! That Packers loss was so devastating though! I think the only way I'll truly get over that is if they get a SB win this year.

Yeah for me, that SB loss was devastating. However, the NFC championship game? I can't stop laughing.

Anyways, I believe that my hawks are thirsty for revenge, and with the addition of Jimmy Graham, they will go back to the SB and win.

Hey, I noticed that no one brought up the thing with the Patriots being accused of using deflated balls. I think they are innocent and did not cheat. And if they did cheat, wouldn't it have given the other team the same advantage? Why did still they do so poorly?

I think they cheated, but not that it mattered. The Colts can't seem to figure it out against the Patriots, they've been blown out by them 4 straight times in the Luck era. They Colts don't understand that without a good run defense, they will always lose to the Patriots. If they hadn't of cheated, they still would've got to the SB and Seattle still would've lost.

I hope it's a rematch next year so we can beat them this time, Denver style.

Basically this. I still think it's odd that they did cheat, given their past history against the Colts (see above), and given the outcome of the game once the balls were removed. They didn't need to cheat in the first place! I think the witch hunt since vs Brady is also completely blown out of proportion, but I can see where it comes from (repeat offenders). The argument that's been floated that they didn't deserve the SB win though is unfounded since they went into that game with all that attention from Deflategate and all eyes on the ball (so to speak) and defeated the Seahawks fair and square (what a great game too!).

I'm excited for this year, as a Pats fan I feel I can relax since there's no pressure to win anything anymore. It'll be a joy to watch the Seahawks with Graham and interesting to see how Luck will develop and how the Saints will build. And it'll be fun to see Rex Ryan in Buffalo presumably fail in spectacular fashion.

Cheating or not, ball pressure didn't make the difference in that game. It's always been a witch hunt. The league, until this thing, was giving QBs wide latitude on pressure, because guys like Brady and Manning asked for that.

Goodell needs to go. Fuckwit has done everything wrong and the league is suffering for it. There's no reason Brady shouldn't be playing.

This is what I don't get about the cheating thing. The patriots are one of the better teams right? Why do they even need to cheat in the first place?

Not doubting that they did cheat, just don't understand why.

It was cold, and only one was under anything explained by weather. Brady replaced his phone as a matter of normal wear before there was ever a scandal. Again, there's also a history here with the league: a few years ago, Brady and other QBs specifically asked for wider latitude on ball pressure, and the league granted it. Now suddenly they jump all over something that's 99% explained by weather. It's BS.

Not necessarily, the game was played at around 48 degrees F. If a ball was inflated at a temperature of 70 and left outside in 50 degree weather, then the pressure would drop barely 1 PSI. The patriots were 2 PSI under the limit. Also the Colts balls were tested at halftime and they were fine.

The Patriots cheated, however it didn't matter anyway, they pretty much just ran the ball the whole game.
