I don't see why Vick shouldn't be allowed to play again.  He committed a crime against society, not the NFL, and may very well have some talent left in 'em.  That doesn't mean I approve of what he did, simply that I believe in second chances.

See?  That has been my take on the whole situation.  He did something very bad.  However, his debt to society has been paid.  He is a great athlete, and should be allowed to do his 'job' again.

Interesting twist -- if YOU were convicted of dogfighting and spent a year in jail, would your employer hire you back?  Fairly certain mine would not.  That said, whether he plays again is directly related to whether he CAN play again, i.e., is still in shape, still has explosive quickness, can still throw a 50-yard pass on a rope.  That kind of thing.  I, for one, would like to see him play again, just because he was so damn entertaining to watch.

Yes, my employer would, because my job isn't contingent on things like criminal records (so long as fraud and credit card theft aren't on the jacket).  I know for a fact I work with people who have a criminal past, including one person who did time for attempted murder.  It's not the norm, but it's how it is.  Your job, though, I can understand why people may be concerned about a criminal record.

iF i COULD SUBNET 20 NETWRKS, sorry, program unlimited access to the internet and map 30 printers in a day, i would be valubale too. We're not the rock stars.

Hands off my mage!

It's because he's on the other side of the world, which means that more likely than not, he's drunk?

Hey! When the water swirls the wrong way going down the drain and the stars are completely different in the sky... and it's winter when it should be summer, you feel like you have been dropped on your head. Add a little alcohol and that makes for some screwed up posts. Anyhow, I'm back in Virginia now and back to normal (which still isn't much better).  :innocent: :P

Yeah, that's great news for me. I felt the Skins were going to lose to Philly twice this year anyway, now I'm sure of it. Eagles take the East.

Vick to start tonight for the Eagles.

Apparently he played pretty well.  Without condoning anything he did, for purely selfish reasons I'm glad he's back -- most exciting open-field runner since Barry Sanders, and while his accuracy isn't great, he throws a beautiful pass.

Barry Sanders didn't need an open field to be amazing. Some of his most incredible runs were through a tight forest of opponents, making them trip over themselves while he slid by.

Season Kick-off Tonight!!!

Well, we finally made it!  Tonite is kick off!  Steelers v Titans; this should be a great game, and has pretty big implications for both teams.

This is my favorite time of year.  Life gets noticeably better (albeit more sedentary) once NFL season starts.  I will now turn into a couch potato.

I had no idea this league existed.

Well, week 5 is over, week 6 is staging.  KC has lost every game they have played this year-- and with ST Louis sucking so badly, I don't think we'll even get first pick in the draft.  I think rock bottom has been hit when we lost to Oakland.  So, time to resort to the secondary team, and root for Drew Brees and the Saints-- mostly cause I like Brees.

@Deano-- where ever you are-- sorry for the 'Skins.  I really thot they would get the Panthers.
