I think they will probably cancel part of the tour but if we're able to win the virus just before the summer they will play the European shows even if the gigs are 4 or 5. Germany shows, Paris, Lisbon and Barcelona and reschedule Donnington to O2 and play a big show in London for the UK fans.

Moving the Donnington show to O2 would create massive problems with tickets...

They can cancel the Asia and Oceania dates and if the situation is better until then (I hope so), they can only do the Europe dates this year. And do the Asia and Oceania dates in the album tour in 2021. For the safety of everyone, I think the whole tour should be cancelled.

Or postponed the whole tour for 2021, but I think 4 legs/years will be too much (even 3 legs are)... But first and foremost is the health. Let's hope within 3 or 4 months everything will be fine.

I also hope they recorded something during 2018/2019 from this tour for a DVD release. If I'm not mistaken, Steve has said in an interview that they will start recording the shows this year.

Glastonbury Festival has been cancelled. This was due to be held 24th-28th June, two weeks after Download Festival. I can't see Download going ahead now, so that'll be one show off LOTB3.

You don't really understand what's happening, do you?

The virus is not going to just vanish into thin air. We can hope that by summer, we can slow down the amount of infections to a degree where we can start having a public life again, but cramming thousands of people in one place will still be irresponsible for quite some time.

Correct. We should also bear in mind that it took about four months to get SARS under control after China bothered to tell the world it had a problem but it was another two years before the last confirmed case was diagnosed.

Events are not shutting down till its completely eliminated tho I expect restrictions to start lifting when there is a good control over it , bands were still touring the world when this was in existence it wasn't till it got out of control these drastic measures were taken ,

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have rescheduled their European and UK, which would have started 19th of april and run until 17th of june.
This makes me think we must be getting soon some update on Iron Maiden tour matter and see then how it goes.

Considering maiden are aware how many travel to see there shows people will want to know sooner rather than later last minute would see a lot of people be screwed, so it's either coming soon or they are really holding out hope this could still go ahead in sone capacity

Yep, I agree with you and yes, thanks for bringing this up with the travels and such. It's gonna be problematic for some.
So, I hope that we will eventually get some sort of info on this matter as soon as possible, perhaps next week or so?

I'm aware that events won't be shut down until the virus is completely eliminated, but this is huge. It could take longer to control than SARS.

I reckon the Iron Maiden tour and Download Festival will go at the same time. I'm sure we'll hear about Download Festival by the end of the month as day tickets usually go on sale at the end of March (I think) and the next part of the installment plan for weekend tickets is due in early April. As I've mentioned previously, I can't see the festival going ahead if a lot of bands can't make it to Europe. We don't know what the state of play will be in June but the situation in the US isn't great and 2 of Download's headliners are American plus all three subheadliners and the second stage headliners. There are practical considerations too - will the festival be able to provide enough hand sanitizer for the toilets to last the weekend with the current shortages? I doubt it.

IRON MAIDEN AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND TOUR POSTPONED

TEG Dainty regret to announce that IRON MAIDEN’s Australia and New Zealand dates in May have been postponed until further notice. This is due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation and recent Government instruction.

TEG Dainty advise ticket holders to hold on to their original tickets and await further information.

If you find you’re unable to attend the new dates when they are announced, refunds will be available at the point of purchase.
Message from Rod Smallwood/Iron Maiden:
Aussie and Kiwi Troopers,
We are hugely disappointed not to be seeing our fans in Australia and New Zealand in May due to the understandable Government concert bans surrounding Coronavirus. Sadly these are difficult and uncertain times for us all.
We still intend to bring this great Legacy Of The Beast show to you all as soon we can and I promise we will do everything we can to achieve this with our promoters and subject to what is happening around us globally.
And to our brilliant fans everywhere…
We also appreciate that fans with tickets to shows in some of the other countries on our extensive 2020 tour will be anxious for news and updates. You can be sure we will keep you immediately updated here with any other changes, by country, that could become necessary as soon as we hear of them from the official Govt channels. Thank you for your patience and for bearing with us. We hope to see you all!
Take care of yourselves, be safe and be smart.
- Rod Smallwood/Iron Maiden
