I read that as the promoters press release not Maiden's, i.e. why would Maiden be looking forward to 4 days at the festival.
Ah yes of course. I didn't read both tweets properly. It's morning OK?

There's also no chance that Iron Maiden's social media person would sign off with "stay safe, stay metal".

The timing of this post brought to my mind a Greek saying about fucking and fishing. Sorry I can't explain further but it is explicitly Greek. LOL

First night would be Rod throwing the new album's master into a bonfire and the next three would be him laughing. Bruce is going to fly a hovercraft just over the crowd's heads each night.

Neither Laz nor his son posted that information; it came from other people who apparently know the band well though.

Probably. But I assume some FC members who are good friends with either of them, got to know it directly from them and then spoke about it...

Probably?? I am a FC member and can confirm that neither Laz nor Joe have ever posted that information as your original message suggested. ;)

If Joe Lazarus is on a retainer, some people would obviously know about it and anyone of them could have been the source, not necessarily himself or his dad.

^ And he has always been a Maiden fan obviously.
Up to the point of stealing a Maiden song title, then travelling somewhere back in time, and releasing this:

And I meant told someone not posted on the IMFC forum.

Ok, it doesn't matter then. But it was a very reliable source if I remember correctly. Lets leave it at that.

I've also noticed on the first read how AUS/NZ is postponed and Japan is cancelled. Maybe they already pinned down some dates in late autumn/winter for AUS/NZ and are just waiting for this to calm down, but there is nothing in Japan they can book around those dates?

Anyway it's pretty clear the whole concert/festival season in EU this summer is going to be cancelled/postponed.
For example, BST cancelled which probably led to Pearl Jam tour cancellation, which will lead to Rock Werchter cancellation, and that will then be 3 festivals for SOAD which are cancel, who will then postpone/cancel, leaving those other festivals where are they headliner to cancel and so on and so forth...

Anyway, the thing Maiden are waiting on and what will ensure the complete s***fest in this situation are legalities and they've already started.
First example: Hellfest https://www.hellfest.fr/en/

In an interview for the Japanese magazine Burrn!, Steve Harris talked about expectations for the third part of LOTB tour.

This interview was done before the current events in the world. It was a short excerpt from it in a Portuguese site, but unfortunately the site is down now - I remember the short excerpt (I read it yesterday, but forgot to share it here):

- Steve was asked is there are going to be any changes to the setlist and his response was: no, the songs are the same, but we will add some extra things to the shows.... can't tell what. And the setlist would be 16 songs again (as the previous two legs).

So, it seems that the 2020 leg of LOTB tour would have been with the same setlist.

I don't think that matters anymore.
