Oh yeah. Man, they were massively popular back then. Only the closer The Struggle Within is a dud for me. The rest are good to great. My faves are Holier Than Thou, Wherever I May Roam, Through the Never and Of Wolf and Man.

I just remember everyone walking around in Metallica and Guns N' Roses t-shirts. Two biggest rock/metal bands on the planet back then. Good times

Much more bittersweet if you got into Metallica with Ride The Lightning and then saw all the frat boys jump on the bandwagon 7 years later when the band finally sold out!

Yeah, it doesn't have as many top tier tracks on it as Oceanborn has. There's a lot of sick riffs and other cool stuff though.

I think Wishmaster (title track, She Is My Sin, The Kinslayer) has better classic songs than Oceanborn (Stargazers, The Riddler). Agreed about the riffs.
