Vic Mizzy - Original Music From the Addams Family (1965)

Lurch-rock! Super groovy and sophisticated fuzz-pop. These songs are all great!

I'm more fan of 'Holy Diver' than of 'Dream Evil', because on the very 1st Dio solo album, there are more great songs. The reason is that Dio was the only composer on 'Holy Diver'. When he started to share the composing process with other musicians, except on 'Last In Line', which is a great record too, the albums began to turn mellow and tasteless, especially on 'Sacred Heart' and 'Dream Evil'. After that, he came back to something heavier with 'Strange Highways' (a very weird album, but still very nice). I must admit that I didn't like 'Magica' either, which goes too far in all directions. I'm more into 'Lock Up The Wolves' and 'Angry Machines'. But, apart 'Holy Diver' and 'Last In Line', my favorite Dio records are 'Killing The Dragon' and 'Master Of The Moon'. :)
