AKA the high-jacked LAST WORD thread... :grumble grumble:

May I remind you that it was you who started the Last Word thread, thereby diverting valuable unintelligible posts away from a thread with a true goal, which had existed long before your petty Last Word.  Accept the judgement of the mods, fool, or face destruction from the wrath of H (who always has the Last Word[sup]TM[/sup], anyway)

PETTY?! PE-TTY HA!!! I diverted nothing from no one. The thread with a supposed true goal had been ignored for years and The Last Word was completely independent. It simply became more popular, higher demand, but the government and its insane thirst for crushing monopolies litigated that the threads be joined, which just reeks of communism to me! There should be free trade and enterprise goddammit!!!!

*sneaks up on Onhell and hits him over the head with a frying pan*

Mexicans...such anarchists...*grumble*

I'm new here. Been a Maiden fan since early 1982 when The Number of the Beast came out. I was 15 at the time and have been a die hard fan ever since. I'm 40 now, still a metal head as well. I live in San Antonio Texas. I saw Maiden for the first time in August 1982 and the last time I saw them was on the Gimme Ed Tour. The only times I've missed seeing them was Killers and Seventh Son. They didn't play here on Dance of Death or A Matter of Life and Death, so I didn't see those either. :( I also dig Symphony X(just saw them), Kamelot, Guardians of Time, Sonata Arctica, Nocturnal Rites, Manigance to name a few.

You are my new buddy Invader67! I can tell by your power metal taste hehe, not to mention I've got lots of family in San Antonio. Actually all throughout the southwest from Cali to Texas, but mainly Cali and Texas. Welcome!

Thanks onhell. I saw your thing under your name, Put on your armor, ragged after fights. Helloween, man......Keeper of the Seven Keys(the song). I saw Helloween in 1989 opening for Anthrax here.....The original Helloween live was one show I'll never forget......

That must have been sweet! The closes I've gotten is their live in Sao Paolo dvd from the last tour hehe, good show, but yah, Keeper pt. II is by far my favorite cd.

I know the feeling.

Still, it is nice to see the older Maiden fan - like myself. :D

Hello,

I'm 27 from Illinois (USA).

I got into Maiden a few years ago. My brother was big into them during the 80's but I guess I was a little young to fully appreciate them. Although I was into some metal back then, in particular Anthrax.

A few years ago I was looking for something "new" to listen to and downloaded a few Maiden tracks I remembered from my younger days. A few days after that I went out and bought every Maiden album from the debut through DOD.

Favorties Artists: Maiden, Primus, Helloween, Anthrax, Peter Gabriel, Faith No More, Clash, Megadeth
Random Favorite Non-metal songs: Don't Dream It's Over, I Can See Clearly Now, Under Pressure
Favorite Books: Right now I'm into Chuck Palihniuk (sp?)
Favorite Movies: Batman Begins, Back to the Future, Falling Down, Office Space
Favortie TV Shows: X-Files, Futurama, Simpsons, Family Ties, Cosby Show
Random Fact About Me: I got the hots for Cyndi Lauper
Hobbies: I plan on trying to learn the bass, one of these days...soon...maybe.
