I'm new here on this forum, but a long time I was active on the official forum and the newsgroup. I'm from the Netherlands and have been a fan since 1991. In fact, Maiden was the first band that really got me in to music and since then I've listened to a lot of different bands and genres. My main interests are music (also playing and composing), software development, gaming, movies and formula 1.

Oh I didn't realize you are such an old timer.
I kind of disagree with what you said in your intro, I don't think Iron Maiden struggled that much in the early days, it's a normal process most of band experience. They went from zero to having a recording contract in less than 4 years, that's nearly privileged by some metrics.

Haha... I see. Actually I was just trying to make an impression with my intro but I should have known these "escorts" are always leagues ahead. :p

Welcome! Great to have you and I hope you enjoy talking about metal music here (really you can enjoy talking about anything here). There's a wealth of knowledge on a lot of subjects here. I've gotten some great recommendations for metal and hard rock music to listen to here. I like browsing through Now Playing and seeing what people post. Have fun

I’m Michael. I’ve been a fan since the first album!! I’m co-host of the Iron Maiden Pub Quiz podcast (get it wherever you get your podcasts!) and the Maiden album I’m currently listening to is The Best of The Beast double CD version. Finally tracked a decent copy down on eBay. My favourite album is Powerslave (probably) and the song I love most as the moment is Sea of Madness. My favourite people are Iron Maiden people. They’re a decent bunch, I think! IMG_7569.jpeg
