New posters! Who are you?

Not my WHOLE history, obviously, I mean there has been other stuff, I'm not a young man anymore! I was at the Astoria to see Maiden join Bruce and Janick for The Trooper after Bruce's Tattooed Millionaire set, first time Janick performed with the band I think. As I say, not a young man...

Hey guys, new poster here. Unfortunately, I've only seen Maiden live once in NYC during the Final Frontier tour. Hoping to have some good music discussions here

Welcome to the forum, Dicklesworth. There's lots about music to be discussed here. I like your avatar and your signature but you might reduce the size of the latter.

LOL. Greetings, Dicklesworth! Your name is going to make me chuckle every time you post.

Also, we've now got two Mr's and a Dr. round these parts, we're getting classy!

Who is your favourite guitarist?

That depends. If it's based on who I think is purely the best guitarist, than Dave Murray slightly over Adrian, with Janick further behind (I still like him though)

If we're talking about who overall contributed more to Maiden and was more valuable and talented in other areas, than I'd have to say Adrian because he pretty much wrote the entirety of Somewhere in Time.

My personal favorite is Dave Murray though

Hi!

Another bloody new poster here, I'm afraid. Seen Maiden twice, in 1999 (Helsinki 15.9., if memory serves me correct) and Helsinki in 2013, during their "Maiden England"-revisitation. Shame I missed the World Slavery Tour-enactement, since Powerslave/Live After Death is my favourite. Not a huge fan of Seventh Son, but it seems that otherwise in the 80s Maiden could do no wrong. I mean... the songs (even b-sides), the show, the cover art... huge mummified Eddie preying on human flesh... Those 7-8 years have never been repeated/topped by any other metal band. Near perfection. And this comes from a man, whose all time favourite band is Judas Priest! The amount of effort Maiden put into their albums, lp booklets, memoriabilia, even singles... It sends chills down my spine.

Helsinki '99 was the first gig I ever saw by any band. I remember I was about to catch a cold, but after screaming to Phantom of the Opera and Powerslave, the flu got scared and disappeared. :scared: So, I firmly believe that Heavy Goddamn Metal is the only true cure for diseases of all varieties. :notworthy:Don't need no religion, metal church is all!:devil2:

Welcome, Ashes!

I could not disagree with you more re: Seventh Son, but hey, always good to have more opinions around here. Way to represent one of the all-time best Megadeth songs!
