Misheard lyrics

I've just been reminded of one of my Dad's mishearing of lyrics. The song was "Reeling in the Years" by Steely Dan. I think the correct lyric is "are you gathering up the tears?" but he was convinced it was actually "are you gobbling up the cheese?" and, to be fair, it does kind of sound like that ...

Coming Home:
"to no man's land"

Actual: "to Albion's land"

Isle Of Avalon:
"The fruit of her body laden, Through the corndog"

Actual: "...Through the corn doll"

From Different World, for the longest time I thought he said "everybody has a different way to fuel the world," not view.
From Aces High, I always misheard "Running, scrambling, flying" as "Running, tired, damn it".

I wasn't sure if I should post this and I want to stress that this was purely an audio interpretation thing. But when you combine the mishearing with the rest of the lyrics, it's getting ehh... odd to say the least. Well, here goes. Helloween has a song called "All Over the Nations", from The Dark Ride album (2000).

I'm hearing the chorus like this:

All over the nations the Jews come alive
Winners and losers, we're all alike
No matter as truth ain't some great mystery
We all fade into one

Not kidding. Listen for yourselves here.

The real lyrics:
All over the nations the tunes come alive
Winners and losers, we're all alike
No matter as truth ain't some great mystery
We all fade into one

I used to think the line silver shadows on the earth was sailing shadows on the earth.
