I've just been reminded of one of my Dad's mishearing of lyrics. The song was "Reeling in the Years" by Steely Dan. I think the correct lyric is "are you gathering up the tears?" but he was convinced it was actually "are you gobbling up the cheese?" and, to be fair, it does kind of sound like that ...

But when you combine the mishearing with the rest of the lyrics, it's getting ehh... odd to say the least. Well, here goes. Helloween has a song called "All Over the Nations", from The Dark Ride album (2000).

I'm hearing the chorus like this:
