I would choose "Phantom of the Opera" because of its historical importance... and because of "and I dance, and I prance"! :D

Phantom of the Opera would win, it always performs better in survivors.
The times they are a-changin'. Maidenfans is going through (another) "only Maiden with Bruce (and Adrian) counts"-era.
Even the crappiest album beats the mighty debut.

When one is into more than two Maiden eras, our forum can be a provoking experience when it is dominated by people who thoroughly only enjoy a maximum of two eras (1999-... and 1982-1989). It is not easy to be comfortably numb about this. I find it noteworthy that Maidenfans, you know: people who are really into this band, do not distribute more proportional love for other eras.

Shall we rename our community BruceDickinsonWithAdrianSmithfans.com ?

I mean I fucking love the Blaze stuff, I’m just not thrilled with the Di’Anno era.

I enjoy the debut, but it’s not as good as the stuff that was to come.

I think Iron Maiden fans in general are of that persuasion Foro. I don't think you'll ever manage to change that.

Lol, why are you getting so triggered over this. I guess the general consensus is that these are the two best eras and the majority of fans enjoy them the most. Nobody here is trashing other eras, there's just healthy preference (I think). You seem to be mad because other people don't like certain stuff as much as you do. "You're not a real fan unless you manage to notice the hidden brilliance in that obscure DiAnno b-side." That's kinda elitist.

And after all, we're all kind of idiots for even trying to discuss music in objective terms. But, well, that's fun. Let's remember not to take it too seriously.

Certain stuff? Elitist? I am rather in an underground minority movement, voicing an uncomfortable opinion every once in a while. Dance of Death beating Iron Maiden, that's certainly a trigger this time.

There's no such thing as "bad taste" as far as music is concerned. No music genre is better than others. Better yet, there's no such thing as a "real fan". Who decides what makes you a better fan of something than another person? What we have is simply a (very) broad spectrum of different musical styles, artists, albums and songs, so one can pick whatever pleases them the most. That's why I love music—it's unlimited and accessible to pretty much everyone, one way or another. No one should be arguing (or, even worse, fighting) because "my genre is better than yours" (it's not). "This artist is better than that one" (it's not). "This album, this song, this era is better than that one" (again, it's not). It's very unfortunate that I'm forced to see these kinds of arguments happening over and over again, anywhere.
