8-3 in favour of Iron Maiden
Two heart-pinching decisions: "Rainmaker" and "Sanctuary" lose. No real difficulty to choose for the rest.
 
The debut is currently leading 6-5. It dominates the early match-ups but 'Dance of Death' comes back with the later match-ups thanks to the two epics and the non-album tracks on the debut.

It looks like Charlotte vs. Face in the Sand could prove to be the decider in this head-to-head, although Remember Tomorrow vs. Rainmaker and Running Free vs. No More Words are just as close.
 
OK. Dance of Death will win this: 6-5. Damn... a lot of people (more than ever before) really must not like the debut (Di'Anno era) much, or just love the hell out of anything the current line-up ever did.

Yep. First and only Maiden track Nicko's ever used a double-bass pedal.

As for the poll, it's Dance of Death all the way for me, except for "Phantom..." and "Transylvania". Both albums rank very close in my book (DOD slightly above), so I expected more balanced results... oh well.

I was torn on Transylvania vs Gates of Tomorrow. I felt like I should vote Transylvania, but wanted to vote GoT. So I went with GoT. Iron Maiden vs Journeyman made me think as well. IM has that iconic riff, but I feel like there's more meat in Journeyman. Other than that, easy choices.

Has already won. Mckindog has already voted and Srogy also chose for Rainmaker.

Almost the same as Judas, but decided to go against Face in the Sand in the end. Charlotte is all over the place but has a cool melodic section whereas its opponent is just boring.

8-3 to the debut with only DOD, Paschendale and Face in the Sand winning. Face in the Sand was tight.
The biggest win so far for me and probably the only outcome that properly reflects my ranking of the 2 albums concerned.
Im pleasntly surprised that Running Free is doing so well and quite disgusted that Remember Tomorrow is not miles ahead. Great tussle, this one!

It's looks like these two matches are the important ones now as 'Face in the Sand' has a comfortable lead over 'Charlotte the Harlot'.
