Yeah, I agree there. I was definitely a long-time Law & Order fan. I am/was less excited by SVU, though I do watch it from time to time. I really preferred the core series.

I do not care for SVU much. I like Criminal Intent and the mother ship the most. I thought the LA series got decent towards the end, but I wish they would have kept the original on.

I think I watched Trial by Jury, but do not remember much about it.

Well, they only aired 5 episodes. I watched them. It was alright, but not superb. There was potential but they decided that three L&O series were enough.

Looks like they shot 13 episodes, at least that was what was released on DVD. Might try to find it one of these days

Yeah, that was too bad ... he was a really good and "real" character. I read when he died the NYPD had some sort of memorial for him, they seemed to like his portrayal

Yeah, they were pretty close. I seem to remember that he did a lot of shadowing of NYPD officers and detectives to stay in character, and that he was very good to officers and families and such with autographs and appearances.

I am on a Law and Order kick at the moment, I am about done with season 10. I had forgotten many of the early episodes. I liked Stone, but not Robinette. Sorvino would have been good if he stayed on longer, but that lead to Lenny, so I am good there. I also forgot how preachy Curtis was

Yeah, some of the characters aren't easily liked. Which I liked about it, made it feel more real.

I always liked Angie Harmon ... besides the obvious reasons ... she was really good with her looks and noises of disgust. I have the episode on now where a wife took insulin to go unconscious and have the husband tape himself having sex with the knocked out wife. She has a good reaction on this one.

When I first started watching L&O she was the Deputy ADA. I always liked her character. I liked the girl who came after much less.

The one after her, the blonde lesbian along with Robinette are probably my least two favorite characters on the show.

Today is turning out quite well. It's warm and sunny, I've just found out I'm getting paid for a living history event last weekend, and a happy reader has turned up at the office to give me a box of chocolates.

So far, this is turning out to be a great Friday for me as well. I come into work and get praise for not 1 but 2 compliments I've received from customers and the best news, my hours for Mondays got changed. I'll now be working 9 - 6 instead of 11 - 8. :D I guess I won't be calling it my "Shitty Monday Shift" anymore. I'm very happy that I finally have a pretty much normal work week now. It only took...7 years. ::)

Other than work related things making this a good day, the husband and I are heading out to the movies this evening to see Elysium in IMAX. It looks awesome. I really liked the directors first film, District 9, so I'm hoping it will be just as good.
