Damn, I just got some confusing info about our local Corona testing from my friend, made me anxious so it's difficult to concentrate on voting on the Metal Album Cup! (Better clarify that it's not because I need a test at the moment, no symptoms etc. I was just trying to find info on what to do if I do get symptoms, and my friend helps by sending links.)

Has anyone tried milkshaking a large amount of money as a treatment against corona?

Magic Johnson is in town, after 30 years of AIDS the dude looks healthy as fuck.

Landing on Corfu was my most nervous flight experience in a long time. The plane was shaking and the clouds reached so low off the ground that there was no visibility till the last moments before reaching the runway. Shortly after I landed, there was a thunderstorm and heavy rain, so had the flight been half an hour later, I might have shat my pants during landing.

Also allegedly Corfu has a notoriously short and hard-to-land runway in Kerkyra, at least they warned us so when we flew there. But maybe it's for the better they didn't warn you beforehand :D

Didn't we have an aviation thread somewhere. I can't find it. The search does nothing.

Anyway, earlier this year two Croatian Air Force lieutenants died in an flight accident. A mural in Zadar (hometown of lt. Novkovic) was drawn in his memory and it features an interesting detail.

Made three nice landings on the grass strip today. What a great day.

Now back home, having a cold beer, watching my beloved Fredrikstad FK taking the lead 1-0 as I type
They got 2-0, squandered the lead (conceding 2-2 after the opposition got a man sent off), then scored the 3-2 winner with a few minutes to spare.

Hope my neighbours were prepared. I put out my Fredrikstad FK flag as a warning.

I’ve been reading about aviation disasters today. Gruesome but highly captivating stuff. I didn’t even know there had been two major accidents in 2020. Based on descriptions of the incident, the Pakistan one seems like a total blunder on the captain’s part.
