Going easy on the beers tonight, as tomorrow I'll put my Piper Cub training to proper use. I'm going to fly to the 500m grass strip 3 km from where I grew up. The forecast predicts a steady crosswind for the duration of the day and the strip might be a bit wet, so there is no reason to feel complacent.

Fortunately I know the place and know there are plenty of other fields to land on if things go to Toby :cool:

Landing on Corfu was my most nervous flight experience in a long time. The plane was shaking and the clouds reached so low off the ground that there was no visibility till the last moments before reaching the runway. Shortly after I landed, there was a thunderstorm and heavy rain, so had the flight been half an hour later, I might have shat my pants during landing.
 
Cried is at an airport eating Weetabix.
