Let's try and get 1,000,000 replies to this post

Yes, yes, no and yes. I'm not sure when I can talk to them, but if it's nothing urgent, I could try.
There's a couple of Afghan restaurants around here. One of them has a picture of Sharbat Gula inside.

I'm sure I could easily find some Pakistanis too.
I have a friend in Pakistan. I can message him. What is it about?

In short, pestering people from aforementioned nationalities about minute details of their traditional national chess games.
Games still extant but (Western) sources on subject incomplete, patently wrong, or both.
As far as details are concerned, I could post them here (probably within a spoiler to save space), start a new thread, or start a conversation open to anyone interested, I'm not sure which would be more convenient.
Thank you all gentlemen! :ok:

This email sequence at work - the first email and all the responses are sent to the entire organisation:

Someone in my department is absently kicking their desk. Someone from the admin department downstairs sends an email which says "if that is you kicking your desk, could you, like, stop? Thanks."
Someone at the other end of the office replies "It was X" (it wasn't ...)
X replies "Since when? I'll sue!"
Someone from X's department replies "I thought it was the bloody death watch beetles!"
A subcontractor working offsite replies "Not me - my legs are not long enough."

And you thought this forum was bad for spam :D

Well, here it is, girlfriend and I broke it off Sunday. A year and a half. Don't really know what to do with myself. I'm at the bar right now, might go get a cigar. Don't have many friends in the state I'm in right now unfortunately. It's been a rough few days.

Don't really know why I'm posting this here. I don't have a lot of folks to talk to I guess.

It's ok Brig. Trying to handle it the best I can. This is the first major breakup I've had to deal with. In the end, I'll make it though. Listening to the W.A.S.P. debut alot has oddly been a big help

Sorry to hear that, James. Obviously, I don't know what the circumstances are, but sometimes it's better to end a relationship after a year and a half than to stay with someone just because of the habit and lose another 10 years before realizing it's a dead-end. Look at it as an opportunity for a fresh start.

A friend of mine at uni has a yellow Hyundai Getz and now I keep seeing yellow Hyundai Getzes wherever I go

Is this what uni is supposed to do to you?

Music does that! Sorry to hear of the end of your relationship. It's always tough, no matter what is going on. You'll find more lovely ladies out there, though.

So sorry to hear that, I know it feels really bad! :( For me, after the initial shock it has always gotten easier. I don't know if this helps you, but every time I've broken up it's happened for a reason, and it's been for the better. Music can really help, so it's a good idea to seek comfort from that.

I was approached by a headhunter on LinkedIn today. It has given me a lot to think about, and although I don't really feel like changing my job now, the thought has been planted.
