No, I just thought this was a receptive community that took its members opinions and points of view into consideration when making a decision.
We do, and we are. We just aren't necessarily going to agree with your proposed solution.

I mean that’s exactly what we are doing by having this conversation openly. That doesn’t mean we have to abide by your suggestion.

It's important to distinguish proper humour to simple memes. Thing is, when you hear a really clever joke, one that truly hits home and makes you laugh, you'll remember it for a long, long time. Memes are funny...the first ten seconds you see them and then you move on. The issue is that there's just too many of them and most of them are iterations of the same formula and it becomes increasingly repetitive and annoying. They're good for just snickering lightly at before promptly forgetting them. Too bad a lot of memes are run into the ground until the point of them is lost.

I feel cluttering the Funny Pictures thread with memes upon memes was pretty irritating considering all the genuinely good jokes got lost in the shuffle.

Thank you Stardust. :)

Is it? I feel there's a clearly noticeable dichotomy between the two, but I will concede that humour is indeed subjective. The fact of the matter, though, is that I think most people here find memes to be quite annoying with how prevalent they've become recently.
