Very true. I highly recommend new viewers watch most of Season 2, but there's a few episodes that can be skipped entirely (Bad Eggs and Go Fish for sure).

Skip the first season. It's truly dreadful - Buffy gets much better starting in Season 2.

The series took a while to hit its stride. The original film is quite watchable though.
