It's been so long since I really participated in the tour thread or looked at any footage of Maiden on this tour that I've mostly forgotten what's on the setlist. It's like I never saw any spoilers in the first place.

Do you remember whether or not Alex is on the setlist?

My university campus is currently filled with Italian teenagers on a summer school and Asians learning English. I like to refer to the latter as the Annual Asian Invasion. It's where students mostly from China who are starting courses at British universities in September/October spend summer on an English course to meet the language requirements. Outside of their lessons they spend their entire time speaking Chinese to each other instead of practicing English.

I just want to say that we’re having the nicest summer in a long time. Started early and has kept up quite well. Consistently 25 degrees and sunny during the day, uncharacteristically warm at night. I could take this for a few more months, with the odd rainy day in between.

Why is every ancient religious text so horrifyingly misogynistic?
No need to attach the misogyny to the fact they're religious, or ancient. People who want to be mysogynistic don't need an excuse, though they will leap on any that presents itself ...

If misogyny in religious texts bothers you then this one may cheer you up though: Revelations of Divine Love by Julian of Norwich, first published ~1395. (Julian's a girl, by the way :).)

I've seen this behaviour as well. A friend of mine from Hong Kong explained it thusly: most of these people are only in North America (presumably Europe as well) because it increases their parents' status to say "I have a child studying in Canada/USA/UK". They just want to get through their degree and get back to China.

Most of them weren't misogynistic back then. Some of them may have even been progressive when it comes to women's place in society in their place of origin.

I know it was a rhetorical question, just spitballing.
