I can't really say I've stayed up to date with his career, but ..long struggles with alcohol and drugs and then suicide sounds bad when it's a guy you remember from a lot of childhood movies!
Yeah... I dunno. I haven't had a chance to read anything yet. Tho, I'm understanding that there is a fairly high rate of suicide in the elderly, even drug/alcohol abuse withstanding.
