I'm gonna study Translation & Interpretation. But that's not the issue. The main issue for now is money. I can't afford to live apart from my family. I have to get into a top tier uni in Turkey, join a dual diploma program or an Erasmus program, move, then get the financial issues right and settle down.

Our prime minister came out and said that "These events are regular events, they can happen, it has nothing to do with precautions." Then he gave examples from 100-200 years ago, like the technology we have is the same as they did. Pretty sure the majority of the country doesn't give a damn about the lack of precautions and this sick argumentation by the government. Occasional fires had been occurring in the last couple of months, and that led to the proposal for a research in late April.

That attitude from the government just stinks. "Mines have never been safe, no need to make an effort to change that"? Fucking hell. The only major mining disaster in Norway in modern times forced the Gerhardsen government to resign in 1963 - the government that had been in charge for 15 years straight after WWII!

Erdogan appears to me as one of the most arrogant leaders in the western world right now.

Schools are cancelled for today and tomorrow.

Uni professor on FB: "Uni is still in the same place the last time I checked, classes won't be cancelled."

No buses or trams are going to enter that street until the rain stops - I'll have to walk -_-
