RT says no-one can work out what it is, probably mix of CS and something else. Still absolutely horrible stuff, whatever it is.

A gas bomb exploded on the head of a 15 year old boy in Adana, causing his death. We have five casualties as of yet but could be more. Like I've said no media coverage at all. There's only one channel that had showed it all from get go and it's CHP's (main opposition party) channel. Social media plays the critical role.

To be honest, they're going forward even stronger and naturally so we are. Erdoğan stated that the police would not back off and give the control of the places to protestors. He said "They (police) were there yesterday, they're there today, they will be there tomorrow as well."

Something bad is going on. Since all the opposition against AKP gathered together, terrorist group PKK's members are gaining confidence, it may lead to a civil war. Things are getting complicated.

If there are safer protests (like walking) I'd participate but this thing is getting out of hand and it'd be folly to participate in the harsh protests now. We'll just wait and see the consequences. I don't expect anything good, AKP will once again be the dominate party in the elections. Sadly. Well, what can you do? :D

Sounds like things are getting really messy out there. Stay safe

It's scary to hear what's going for you, Flash but also interesting at the same time because we're getting it from an 'inside source' so to speak. As so many people have already said, stay safe.

I would like to say stay safe but if all those people getting abused by the police "stayed home to be safe" no actual movement would happen. Sometimes you have to step outside your house and be in the movement. Best way to describe it is that it's a double edge sword.

Sweet ... I need to count up how many times I have seen them ... but I know in September, I will get to see Maiden and Megadeth in Austin and will get Maiden 3 times on this tour (Dallas, Gdansk, Austin)

I'm sure you'd expect things to cool down after the extensive international media coverage but police brutality is getting even worse. In İstanbul they used actual bullets and shot a 20 year old man in the head, he's in hospital but it's not looking good.

I was out most of the day participating in protests, the ones I participated in were safe but things are getting worse here as well.

And no surprise, Erdoğan is leaving the country for a four day trip to Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt and Morocco. He always leaves the country when things are getting bad.

I'm listening to Alexander the Great at the moment only just I realized the song mentions Anatolia. I knew Asia Minor was Anatolia but for some reason I didn't connect them together.
