It's 02:18 here but the events are going on, even getting stronger. A new group of policemen came to Beşiktaş which is about 1 km away from Taksim Square. Almost every part of İstanbul are protesting, biggest protests are in Taksim Square and Beşiktaş. I've heard the the people are turning their lights on and off and creating noises in protest almost in every country of the city. Beşiktaş, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe fans came together and captured the Gezi Park. In İzmir, the police attack has recently started in Alsancak, the fans of two rival clubs of the city are organizing the protest events.

Groups of thousands of people are on their way to İstanbul and are expected to be in the scene in the morning. Many cities have already programmed protest events for tomorrow, including the city I live in, Samsun.

Police Union has called out the government for using the policemen as conductors and that they should back down. But another police attack is on its way, thousands of policemen are going to Beşiktaş at the moment.

Will let you know if anything else happens.
Because of annonymous on tweeter I'm up to date with the riots in Istanbul

Flash, I hope you'll all be fine in the end.
Religious fundamentalists must be the scariest thing on Earth.

Flash, to be honest, I don't know what to say. Part of me wants to tell you to go out and fight for your rights. The other one wants to tell you to stay out of trouble.

To Travis' point, you have to study the NYTimes.com webpage for a bit to find any mention of the protests in Turkey. But, it's the #2 story on my Google News feed (behind the second round of crushing storms in Oklahoma). Strange.

Flash, hope you stay safe and things improve in Turkey.

There is a revolution in Turkey going on.

Check the last two pages for details.

I couldn't sleep last day and made it through 2 pm without sleeping. There was a protest starting at 1 pm which featured walking a two hour road and then waiting for the big protest at 6 pm. I joined the first group but I didn't know that nothing would happen there and big protest was at 6 pm so I eventually gave up came back home and went to sleep. Some of my friends were there and I heard they had to deal with pepper sprays and gas bombs.

The police confirmed the usage of a much more powerful and in some cases lethal gas. We refer to it as "orange gas" but I don't know how it translates into the English usage. It's considered a chemical weapon. Government & police are using chemical weapons against their own people.

Around 300 people who attended the protests in my town are in custody and sources say they're being tortured and beaten up. Most of them are 18-24 years old. The building of county headship of the government party was burned down, police are taking everyone who pass by that street into custody.

Death toll has risen to at least 4, severely injured people are at least 200. Many many injured people probably around two-three thousands.

Edit : Okay, it's called "Agent Orange" in English.
Edit 2 : Or not. I don't know. :D
Edit 3 : Apparently it's a mixture of CS and methylene chloride.

Agent Orange is a powerful and deadly herbicide, it was used to strip forests in Vietnam. Hang on, I'll just check if it's the same thing
