And someone's boyfriend managed to fall on his last summer and break it. It still hasn't healed and he ends up in a lot of discomfort sitting or standing for long periods.

Egads, if you can't stand OR sit, you're pretty much screwed. Memo to self: don't break coccyx.

Had an interesting couple of days. Son had a round-robin baseball tournament last weekend, which his team won. I'm one of the coaches, having been involuntarily conscripted by the head coach, but I have to say, I've found that coaching my kid's sports team has been a blast. Probably the best thing I've done as a parent. But it was a long weekend, at the ball fields all day each day, plus a victory pool party Sunday night -- so, I'm pretty much shot today. Good thing I don't have anything urgent to do at work. Showed up at the office today and realized I'd forgotten to shave. Then learned the New York Times quoted me in an article today, which is nice.

Not as painful but more embarrasing : I once ran into a glass wall thinking it was the automatic door. It was at a bakery, everyone saw what I did. :D

My tree incident resulted in me getting a mild concussion. I was running, trying to make a kite fly in our yard. I was looking back at the kite then next thing I knew, the right side of my head meets the tree and i ran around screaming and crying and holding my head. Wasn't fun at the time but totally funny now.

This is quite interesting in relation to what Flash has been reporting here. There are currently protests in Frankfurt that are being violently subdued by the police, but the media don't report on it. Instead, they are engaged in heavy coverage of the protests in Turkey (and the flood catastrophe in eastern and southern Germany).

Tree 1; MC 0. :p

My embarrassing mishap was walking straight into a fairly deep ditch. It was getting dark, I was walking back to my car from a football game, and just before I fell in, I looked at my wife and said, "you know, I think somewhere around here there is a big di..." -- then boom. Perfect comic timing.
