Actually, the assassination part may be funny as well because I'm positive it was a hoax. If it wasn't a hoax, it was the most ridiculous and amateurish assassination attempt in history.
A Dutch Euro parliament politician who was there said in the news that he actually pulled the trigger but nothing happened. No talks about an hoax overhere. We'll see.
The archeologist was a complete nutcase who believes that Bulgarians are the core of the entire global civilization, from the Celts through the Chinese and all the way to the Incas.
Hmm.

Probably because he isn't very familiar with our political scene. The hoax theory has not been officially mentioned here either but the public and journalists are convinced this was the case.

I watched the full video this time, the assassin was also a Turk, I think. People (attackers) say stuff like "Öldürün" "Öldürün amına koyim" which is "Kill him" and "Kill him (most popular Turkish swear I can't really translate it :p) and the assassin says "Bırakın beni", which is "Let me go." And another man says "Sevdiklerimiz çürüdü hapishanede." which is "Our beloved ones decayed in prisons."

He is a Turk, yes. Luckily, there is no way this thing could be interpreted as an ethnic conflict because that would have been really scary. Thanks for the translation!

An elderly couple had been dating for some time and decided it was finally time to marry. Before the wedding, they had a long conversation regarding how their marriage might work. They discussed finances, living arrangements and so on.
Finally the old man decided it was time to broach the subject of their physical relationship.
"How do you feel about sex?" he asked, rather hopefully.
"Well, I'd have to say I like it infrequently," she responded.
The old guy paused... then he asked, "Was that one word or two?"

:D

Aaaannnnnnddddd....... Saturday afternoon!

I like this type of Saturday, drove a couple of hours to watch the oldest daughter in Show Choir, came home to run a few miles, and now I'm parked on my ass watching Star Trek.

Plan for tomorrow: Cross-country skiing, preferrably 15-20 km, and then back home to park in front of the TV to watch others doing the same :D and the football, of course. Should be a couple of great games coming up tomorrow.

Cool, mckindog. I don't know some of those albums, and I am not sure if I'll be able to listen to them within three days. But it won't stop me from participating (or from trying to get my personal favourite albums further).

Just he or the whole rest of the world? Not that I read all media but the BBC also sticks to: "Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov said the attacker tried to fire two shots but "most likely the gun misfired".

Actually, if it was an hoax then how do we explain the surprise on the attacker's face?

I don't know them all either, but I know the ones I love. I hope everybody just gets out and votes for their favourites.

Great idea, I'd suggest letting rounds run a bit longer than normal survivors, so people can listen to albums they haven't heard.
