Despite this week being how it's been with work and funeral related things, I got a nice suprise when I got home from work when I discovered I got my ASAP Silver and Gold vinyl record in the mail today! :D I'd be blasting on my record player right now...if it weren't for my husband... <_< I started to play it to see how he'd like it and he made fun of it instantly, right on The Lion and claims it sounds like Kenny Loggins. He even posted the song on Facebook to get back up on his claim. Now, I know ASAP is not everyones cup o' tea....but Kenny Loggins??? Hell no!

It took me forever to find it on vinyl so I feel like this is a crowning moment. :D And nuts to him! I'll just blast it when he's away exercising. :P

You would think that's a cool alarm clock. But I have a CD alarm clock and occasionally pop in a Maiden album. Usually, it rather keeps me in bed listening to it, than getting up.

I used to have a clock like that and had the same problem. But it definitely beats the annoying beeps.

I have the radio set as my alarm or I'll use phone ringtones as alarms. When I use to use beeps, it would scare me awake sometimes and I figured that's not exactly a good way to wake up.

I prefer to be scared awake. That's what drives me out of bed most effectively.

I can really only interpret it this way: Teutonic Thrash was the most genuine follower to Bay Area Thrash, which in turn was the most genuine follower to the NWoBHM. The reason is that all these genres came from a down-to-earth, industrial working class environment that was responsible for that raw, authentic sound and attitude these bands transmitted.
