That Six Hour Sundown song was pretty good actually! Lauren opened for Maiden in 2006 and it was clear that she could sing back then, but most people there were probably thinking "So when is your dad coming on love?" I might listen to more Six Hour Sundown songs though, there is potential there.

One thing is for sure though, Lauren is a lot better looking than her dad.

Damn, I need to know before I go any further, is there truly a better Slayer album then South of Heaven? Hell Awaits came pretty close, but South of Heaven is amazing.
I might of said "Reign in Blood" but I have to agree, "South of Heaven" is pretty damn good.

Short answer: No. South of Heaven is the best Slayer album. Long answer: All albums up to and including Seasons in the Abyss are brilliant and worth listening to. After that, proceed with caution. There are a lot of real gems in the post-1990 Slayer discography, but also several stinkers.

As for Lauren, she's a great entertainer and a sweet girl, but her music is nice, pleasant and tame. Those attributes should not be taken as compliments in the world of hard rock. She might have turned a few heads, music wise, in 1975, but nowadays, its Sunday afternoon nostalgia rock.

It was 2008 (in 2006, they had Trivium). None of them come close in the "best support act for a Maiden show I've been to" contest. The prize has to go to Dark Tranquility, who supported Maiden in 2010.

Slayer's problem, from my viewpoint, is that they have not actually changed much. In total contrast to Kreator.

Lauren definitely supported Maiden on their UK dates in 2006, but Trivium were on between her and Maiden. I remember it well, it was my first Maiden gig. :)

I checked the Commentary and found that Lauren supported Maiden on many shows on that tour. In fact, the only countries where Trivium were the only support act, were Norway, Finland and Sweden.
