Not really. I did finally get my first academic degree, only to discover that it's pretty worthless on its own. My main goal for the year was not achieved, and overall, it was a year full of major disappointments for myself.
My year had some of the best I've ever had, and some of the worst. Much of the "worst" was my own damn fault (usually is), and the "best" gives me optimism for 2012.
A very good year with various nice things. At work it was not the easiest but in the end I am pretty satisfied when I realize in what circumstances I had to work (and learn).
I performed (on drums) with a band from my work at the summer party. Have been playing regularly with them since in our work's "basement", already practicing for next summer's party.
I have seen lots of films, heard lots of cool music and for the rest I am slowly but thoroughly discovering Jethro Tull, a band certainly not easy to take but very rewarding. Something else that takes a lot of my patience:
I hoped to release a CD with two friends this year but the whole thing is a democratic process and it takes longer than I thought (making choices and decisions). However, I am planning to keep that patience because the project is very dear to me and I don't want to blow it up.
This year I was on nice holidays in North Yorkshire, Luxembourg, Trier and Paris.
Last but not least; I had a great time in Berlin and London with forum blokes.
It was an awesome year for me except for family relations, (girl)friend relations and lack of success on university. First problem will probably remain unsolved, other two are pretty much solvable
This year I got to see Iron Maiden (twice), Metallica, Rush, Iced Earth, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Queensryche, In Flames and Diamond Head, so it has been a good year in that respect.
