There has just been a really conversational moment in the cricket, but reading through all the snippets about it on BBC, it does sound interesting. Bell was run out but reprieved as it was deemed India had played outside of the spirit of the game. This is the only time I wish I had Sky but that would mean giving money to Rupert Murdoch....

I think the right result was reached with it in the end. Bell was immensely stupid but the way the Indian fielders were acting was like the ball had already gone for 4 so I can understand why Bell assumed the over was finished and it was tea. However Dhoni has done a very generous thing by recalling him.

Anyway, sup Maidenfans been largely lurking because of being moderately busy (that's mainly a lie...) and not wanting to find out set list spoilers but I'll probably be more active again now my gig has been and gone. I'm determined to go back through all the daily song threads I missed and post my rankings. I think I finished around NPFTD...

Edit: Forgot to say that I hope everyone has been well and stuff which was the reason I decided to post here in the first place...

My church's youth group usually plays some christian rock while we talk before we go to our classes on Sunday morning. Today they played a band over the speakers that was covering the trooper. The cover was awful but still pretty cool they were playing a Maiden tune in church  :ok:

Oh but that's devil music!

If "forever" means "since before I joined Maidenfans", that is actually the truth. I joined this board in the autumn of 2007 and I embarked on this journey in August that year.

I hope to join you in those ranks some day... although I've given up hope that I'll have it done by the time I'm 30.

Speaking of which, I just got a book from the library, opened it and the first thought that shot to my head was: "Oh dear, yet another dissertation. I've got seven of those just lying around here as we speak, and I'm starting to get sick of them. ;)

Good luck with that. There is nothing wrong with being older than 30 when you finish a PhD. Actually, I think it is more common to be above 30 than below ...

I have a nice pile of PhD dissertations in my book shelf. I always bring back a copy when I've been to someone's defense. How frequently I actually open those to read them - well, that's another question.
