Cheers! I still have to complete my BA thesis... that's what's bugging me the most. Other than that, I have two further courses (+one that I'm going to for the heck of it). I guess the time will pass faster than I'd like it to.
 
That just seems crazy.  I think you've been doing University the bulk of the time I've been on the forum...

Yeah, I've been here since I graduated from school. In that time, I moved three times, did four different things (school, government service, history major, Iranian Studies BA) and went to nine Maiden gigs (14 when this tour is done). Being on this board has been pretty much the only consistent thing in my life since then.
 
Tomorrow is the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Fort Sumter. I wonder how many rednecks will wave Confederate flags and yell stupid things like "states rights!" without realizing how idiotic they are.
 
Well, I like working with someone who's already had an introductory course, especially if that course was disappointing.
 
Talking of work - I had an interview today, for a research position in Statoil. It lasted two hours, including a short presentation held by me (about my PhD studies). I won't know if I get the position until early May, though.

Now I'm just fuckin' tired.

It is surely a good research center, and this job seemed very interesting. During my studies I've cooperated with other people there (in the liquefied natural gas group) and I have the impression it is a place where I can both use what I'm already good at, and improve the things I'm not that good at.

Another good thing is that this job is also in Trondheim, so I wouldn't have to move - but at the same time, Statoil is the biggest oil/gas corporation in Norway, so there are many possibilities if I can get inside - and if I want to go abroad that's also a possibility. For example if I want to help making the Mexico Gulf safer  :D
 
In the future, who knows  :D But for now, I'll have to wait for some time to know if I get this position.

In the meantime, I'll just keep on working on this bloody thesis.
 
Everytime I watch Californication, I think "wow, that guys life is fuckin complicated and weird."  There are times I can out weird him, but damn! A good show!
