It's always the classics, isn't it?

This may be a pretty good new years party-- I've been to crazy ones and boring ones, and lonely ones-- this year, I'm spending it with just a few good friends.  And a few good beers.  And a very pretty girl.

Regardless of where you celebrate new year, do the following:

Stand with your feet slightly apart.
Put one hand behind your head and stretch the other arm out to the side.
With the outstretched arm, move it in short jerky movements towards the other arm.
If you have a mouthful of liquid, spurt it out as your arm jerks along.

If the "sprinkler dance" becomes a craze in Germany, Canada, USA, France, Israel, etc. I'll die happy. :D
Me and a friend have totally rocked the dancefloors with that before Christmas. It's brilliant :P

The best thing about that dance, you can be a real geek and still not look a wally whilst doing it.

Funny moment earlier today. I told you that my son (21 1/2 months old) did the following things:

A. I point at an Eddie figure, ask who it is and he says "Eddie".
B. I ask "Where is Eddie?", and he points at one of the figures or a poster.

But now he totally surprised me when this happened:

I came home, I took off my coat and sweater, forgetting even that I was wearing a Maiden shirt under it, and he suddenly goes "Eddie" and points at my shirt. Very cute. I don't think he even knew that Eddie yet. He knew the Seventh Son Eddie, The Trooper & NOTB Eddie. This one on the shirt was from Somewhere in Time, the standing one, with the gun held up.  :)

He also likes the cover of the new fanzine (Final Frontier Eddie, holding the globe).

I want to add that this is totally no indoctrination (or propaganda! :) ), I definitely don't spend a lot of time teaching him these useless things, hehe.

Judging by the tombstone, I don't want to know how this person died.

Awesome kid.  But, if he starts liking the albums No Prayer and Fear of the Dark as much as you, then it's indoctrination. ;) Will you be taking him to a Maiden gig before they quit?

Hahaha, well No Prayer was played recently, indeed. He doesn't know FOTD yet.

I am indeed prowd, Per. Not only because of Maiden, though I wish he could analyze the guitar solos a bit better.

;)

edit: Invader, I'd love to. He has been to two gigs (Wacken and Assen 2008), but that was before his birth (in the belly). Not the real thing of course.

He's way too young now I'm afraid (he can't stand or sit still that long, always moving), so I hope Maiden will continue some 6 or 7 years (not sure if I'd take him earlier).

I'm really sick from an unknown cold, I feel like crap. Drank 5 cups of tea at work.

But good news! Work in the dinner room was, even with the sickness, much better then the convention hall! I'm really happy right now, but feel sucky.
Plans for the next two days:
1. Sleep forever.
2. If I feel good enough, go to some parties with a friend.
3. Sleep for 2-3 hours.
4. Go to that fucking morning shift, but really it's gonna be alot easier now that I moved.
5. Go home to sleep for another couple of hours.
6. Go see Tangled with the family.

Gonna lay down with a nice thermal cup of hot tea and watch some TV before bed.

Foro, maybe age 7 at the VERY earliest which is only 5 years from now. Of course, that depends on their touring plans.
i saw them for the first time when i was 6. I've seen even younger kids at shows.

Woke up after 90 minutes.

Head hurts, nose plugged, throat sore, muscle pain and the usual weird hallucination about some people gatharing next to a spinning thingy I can't describe when I'm sick.

Probably the flu. And I actually resisted my parent's tries to get me to get the flu shot.

Well fuck me!

flu shots are useless imo. There are too many different types of the flu and you only get a shot for one type. I had every symptom as you when I had the flu a few years ago. Exceot for the hallucinations. I hope you get better soon.

Fuuuuuuuuuccccckkkkkk.........  well, its the night before New Years, and I'm practicing.  Shit, I just realized I left my iPod at work... anyway, I'm looking forward to tomorrow night.  I know that I'm gonna be away from my computer tomorrow night, so if I forget, Happy New Year's to all my friends on here!
