Can't comment on the Ryder Cup as I know so little about golf - but you're right, the holders retain it in the event of a tie.


And that is what happened - England once again thumped the Aussies in their own back yard and now lead the series 2-1 with one to play. The first time since the mid-80's had England retained the Ashes. I do feel for the Australian captain Ricky Ponting* as he has had one impressive test career and does not become a bad captain overnight, he just leads a mediocre team at the moment.





*Er, maybe not. :D
 
Incredible. I bought one book about Canadian history on Amazon almost five years ago, and they're still informing me about recent publications on the subject.

Just read Polarsi by H.P. Lovecraft. Really loving his Dream Cycle (dream symbolism and dreamy atmospheres interest me very much. I like surrealism).
