Let's try and get 1,000,000 replies to this post

Have a look at the real old-timers, like No_5, LooseCannon, Forostar, Onhell, SMX, Perun ... most of them (but not all) are between 5.000 and 10.000.

I doubt you (or anyone else) is able to make 5.000 sensible posts in less than a year without spamming the forum down  :D And that's what this thread is for, and this thread does not add to your post count!

Actually, I should be up to 5,000 posts. I guess I don't post enough.

The amount of threads you bumped in the last 24 hours with 2-3 word answers is insane, so I would humbly suggest you've posted quite a lot right now :P

Agreed. EW put it quite nicely...

 Ya, I sort of did that just to see what my status would change to.

Ya, exactly. With the exception of what I quickly did to see what my status would change to for 500 posts, I normally don't intentionally post just to raise my count. If I really wanted to, I could dig up old threads all day and respond to them.

In order to encourage quality discussion, moderators may delete any post of non-substantial content.  This includes posts containing just emoticons, one or two words ("Yes!", "I agree!"), or posts that contain simply a link with no comment from the user on the subject matter.  Posters who violate this rule repeatedly will be subject to the moderation process.

Thanks, LC!  I believe that there is also a warning when an old thread is bumped. Somethinh like "make sure you have something important to add."
