This one being of the "D" model (the one produced in largest numbers), and painted with the markings of the 1944 invasion force (black and white stripes).

I'd love to fly one of those one day. There are still many that are maintained flyable

Another beauty here, the Spitfire mk V. This one is a Vb, with 2 Hispano 20 mm cannons and four Browning .303 machine guns. The Mk V was the most numerous Spitfire version.
