Oh comon, you have something against Invaders?

I...really...uhh...like that song.

I agree with this. Invaders is just an all-around rockin' tune. I actually prefer it to The Trooper and half TNOTB record.

Now that you mention it, about half that album doesn't really hold up, as far as staples and all around really memorable songs go. I could easily forget about Acacia, Gangland and Eclipse, personally. Invaders is an amazing track, however, and very underrated among the majority of the Maiden crowd.

I definitely agree that The Prophecy and The Thin Line..... are pretty underrated, they're both amazing but I haven't seen them get a lot of praise on here. I also think Out of the Silent Planet is pretty underrated, i've found myself really enjoying that one lately.

How can you not love Invaders?  Man I'm cranking it now, and it is such a top of the line, balls out rocker.  I remember always blaring this sucker on the way to parties, or to play sports, job interviews, any time I needed a shot of adrenaline!!   Invaders jumps out of the speakers and kicks the a$$ of anyone who gets in the way.
Again, a matter of opinion I guess.  Glad to hear others agreeing with me on the Prophecy.  Beautiful masterpiece, under appreciated.

Fully agreed, great bass-line, great solo and great vocals.

Out Of The Silent Planet is one of Maiden's greatest singles, alongside Flight Of Icarus, Wasted Years, The Evil That Men Do and Rainmaker.

I agree, but I'm really digging Total Eclipse and Acacia lately. Very catchy in my opinion.

And Gangland has Bruce's highest note ever. Other than that, it's pretty mediocre. But I think it would make more sense live.

Totally agree, although Stranger in a Strange Land and the AMOLAD singles should be in the bunch as well (I know, you don't like that album :p).

I thought Where Eagles Dare had his highest note during the scream at the end. And I thought the highest he ever sang was in Total Eclipse because they recorded it wrong.

What I don't like much are FTGGOG, TLD and I'm not big on TCDR, too (all are badly arranged and repetitve over the top). TROBB and DW are amazing!!!

No, WED has his highest sustained note. His highest note ws a B5 in Gangland ("OOOOW C'mon!") The WED note was an E5 (also hit in CotD and QFF).

You redeemed yourself. :D

Agreed on The Thin Line Between Love And Hate. One of my fav IM tunes.

Does anyone know if they ever performed it live? And if so, got a recording?

Unfortunately not. This and 'The Nomad' are the only songs from the album not to be played live. <_<

Not sure if it's on this list or considered underrated, but Seventh Son is the best title track ever written as far as i'm concerned.  I'd love to hear that live again!

People (including me) dislike Invaders because it has the worst chorus in metal.
