Legacy of the Beast Tour Second Leg Rumours & Discussions

FTGGOG, Wicker Man, or Evil That Men Do seem like the only possible contenders for being replaced. Everything else is pretty essential to the theatrics.
I think TETMD might be swapped for The Clairvoyant. And that's it.

There were a couple interviews where Bruce said something to the effect of it being the 2012 set "with a twist", and there was a very unsubtle teaser in the last episode of IMTV 2012 showing Infinite Dreams and Hallowed programmed into the lighting desk- no idea why this was scrapped, what an incredible setlist that would have been :(
I think Infinite Dreams and Hallowed were rehearsed in 2012 but they decided to drop them. Stupid decision.

But we do not know if the Portuguese translation of what Bruce said is actually correct. :D ;)

I do not think they would change the setlist, same as they did not change the Maiden England setlist between the 2012 and 2013 legs.

Maiden England 2013 is clearly the exception to the rule though, and even still they changed things around for 2014:

TBOS 16/17 - 2 changes
ME 12-13/14 - 3 changes
TFF 10/11 - 8 changes
SBIT 08/09 - 5 changes
AMOLAD /6/07 - 5 changes

Setlist changes happen when a tour is mostly revisiting places that were already visited on that same tour or, in the case of TFF, when an album is released.

The only tour that can be compared to the current one in terms of focusing just in one market/continent and then taking the same tour to a completely different one is the Maiden England 2012-2013 tour. North America in 2012; Europe and Latin America in 2013 (yes, I know they also did a run of shows in the USA as a warm-up before heading south).

LOTB 2019 would visit territories that were not visited in 2018, so I think they would play exactly the same setlist to audiences that have not had a chance to experience it live. They might play some European dates in 2019 (pure speculation at this stage), but I doubt they would change the setlist as a result of those (same as they did not change the setlist for the short run of North American shows in 2013). ;)

Well TFF and AMOLAD had quite distinct legs, it wasn't really the same tour both years so we can discount those changes.
Then ME went for an unprecedented 3rd year so change was inevitable.
TBOS had a change enforced upon it so thats just one change, really.
So to sum up, the exact same tour across 2 years does not see setlist changes too often.
Still, Bruce Bruce has expertly reinvigorated the chat about the next leg with one simple quip. My preference? One change and it is the addition of a brand new song from the album they will record in the new year :shred:

Well, bruce said that the set will be almost the same, which I think means 1 or 2 songs will be switched.

My money is on Wicker Man and TETMD.

I expect Clairvoyant to return.

It seems, no Ed Force One for the 2019 leg -> https://www.metalpit.it/iron-maiden-non-ci-sara-un-nuovo-ed-force-one-per-il-tour-2019/

In a telephone interview with a Brazilian newspaper, Bruce Dickinson, talking about the participation of IRON MAIDEN at Rock In Rio, he confirmed that there will not be an Ed Force One for the world tour in 2019. The reason is simple, says the frontman: the production of the Legacy Of The Beast Tour is so big that it is not possible to place it all in one Boeing 747.

Could have been Ed Force One and Ed Force Two, alas.

Hopefully they are bringing the full show, because to make that cost effective they'd have to hit a fair few dates.

This site speculates one more date in Brazil and one in Chile -> https://www.futuro.cl/2018/10/bruce...maiden-trae-legacy-of-the-beast-a-sudamerica/

In addition to the date in Rock in Rio 2019, Iron Maiden would already have confirmed a presentation in another city of Brazil and one in the National Stadium of Santiago de Chile, which would be held on Tuesday 22 October with the National Stadium as a possible venue.

But isn't that a too short SA tour for the Maiden standards - I mean, the fans are crazy there for Maiden and they're the best IMHO.
