All in all it comes down to dynamics. Maiden always had the tendency to repeat parts. It is just that in the later years the repetition is just killing any momentum that the already slow songs might have. Having watched several full live shows from the current tour...I can say that for me the latest songs do kill the momentum of the show.

I think they stopped doing that after Bruce's accident in LA in 2004.

They certainly did bot have any cake on stage for Davey's 50th birthday at Earls Court in 2006.

I would argue that all their songs are completed. They have a start and end after some minutes.

I agree, IMO Clansman would have been a 10/10 if it was 5 minutes long.

IMHO it is perfect the way it is. The intro just builds the drama and suspense. Then the heaviness kicks you in the head. When VXI was released I was blown away with The Clansman and that feeling has never changed

Is it just me who hopes for a ten song 55 minute album and a live show of 19 songs?

I only hope for another strong Maiden album, whether it's 55 min or 1 hr 20 min. I'm all on board for a 19 song live show but for Maiden that would be over 2 hrs.

A few bullet points after the Rockwave gig:

- the Maiden gig started with a delay of approx. 45 minutes - unknown cause;
- the show was far better than I expected. The guys were in really good shape and the sound was massive;
- the channels of H and Dave seemed louder than Janick’s, but overall the sound was very good;
- I f###ing hate moshing in general and at Maiden gigs especially. It is not the music and the place for this kind of s**t and it is very, very disturbing for people who are there to enjoy the music and the show;
- TLOTB setlist is one of their best, this is definitely a show to remember and it would be tragic if they don’t release a live album after.
