Kiev is far away from the warzone, so I'm more on the positive side.

It would be tasteless them playing The Trooper in Kiev if Mad Vlad and the boys have kicked off by that stage.

Sorry guys, but since they have never cancelled a US tour, or an Israel or a Turkey one for political reasons, I still believe it would be totally hypocritical of them to cancel the Moscow one.

Regardless of what Bruce did in the past there is no way I would take a large scale production into countries in conflict with one another. Too much uncertainty.

They will if they can't get Visas. I don't think comparing this to playing shows in countries while politically a hot potato like Israel is the same thing as performing in a country where, for all we know, won't allow British citizens entry.

If Russia wages war on Ukraine then Europe and the UK will have to respond. That will mean embassies closing down and diplomatic relations ending. Travelling to Moscow will be extremely difficult in those circumstances.

And how will playing a show in Kiev work if the country is under siege?

Nowhere near comparible to performing in Turkey or Israel.

If Russia invades Ukraine and there is armed conflict, yes, it would be beyond stupid to try and play shows in those countries. And I have to ask, what reason do you think Maiden ever might have had to cancel a US tour for political reasons?

You're right, the US have never started a war.... oh wait...

Not getting visas is different. It is not their choise and they do not cancel for political but for practical reasons. Ukraine is a whole different thng. And just to be clear I am not supporting the war or Russia's actions. Just pointing the hypocrisy of it all.

If they are forced to cancel due to the conflict then that is political.
