It is at the moment...Kiev is far away from the warzone,
I would have assumed political reasons. Especially if relations between Russia and the UK break down. And Moscow. Why would Moscow be cancelled?
They will if they can't get Visas. I don't think comparing this to playing shows in countries while politically a hot potato like Israel is the same thing as performing in a country where, for all we know, won't allow British citizens entry.Sorry guys, but since they have never cancelled a US tour, or an Israel or a Turkey one for political reasons, I still believe it would be totally hypocritical of them to cancel the Moscow one.
If Russia invades Ukraine and there is armed conflict, yes, it would be beyond stupid to try and play shows in those countries. And I have to ask, what reason do you think Maiden ever might have had to cancel a US tour for political reasons?Sorry guys, but since they have never cancelled a US tour, or an Israel or a Turkey one for political reasons, I still believe it would be totally hypocritical of them to cancel the Moscow one.
What’s started?Well, it’s started…..fuck.

If Russia wages war on Ukraine then Europe and the UK will have to respond. That will mean embassies closing down and diplomatic relations ending. Travelling to Moscow will be extremely difficult in those circumstances.
And how will playing a show in Kiev work if the country is under siege?
Nowhere near comparible to performing in Turkey or Israel.
If they are forced to cancel due to the conflict then that is political. Not getting visas is different. It is not their choise and they do not cancel for political but for practical reasons. Ukraine is a whole different thng. And just to be clear I am not supporting the war or Russia's actions. Just pointing the hypocrisy of it all.
I never said it would be their choice though. I said if they had to cancel it would be for political reasons. But not their choise. Practical.
