Legacy of the Beast 2018 Tour

Trondheim is actually a two-day festival. Volbeat is playing, as well as some other groups. Norwegian band Hellbillies is also playing, I think they have some good songs but it's hilarious that they are doing the same festival as Maiden. That's like.... I don't know.
They booking guys have surely done a poor job on that festival in Trondheim...15 000 out of 18 000 people at that festival will be there just to see Maiden.

However, I’m going since my work is just a stone throw away, and Maiden is my favorite band, so it should be a fun show!

Somebody posted the Legacy of the Beast tracklist, but I lost it. Can someone post it again? I have no idea where to find it on this bloody internet thing.
Maybe this one...

Can you provide a link to this please? I can't find any information about the festival.

The four windows most likely presents the four kingdoms from video game with corresponding symbols on top of them. From left to right: The Underworld (devil), Battlefield (nuclear explosion), Kingdom of the sands (Anubis) and Ailing Kingdom (mosquito).

I'm going to the Tuesday the 5th of June, Royal Arena, Copenhagen show. It's been a while since I've seen Maiden (didn't see em on the Book of Souls tour) so a "classic" Maiden show is actually just what I need I think! :edmetal:

Thanks. Google's translation to English is bad but it says that only two-day passes will be sold initially which may not be too promising. However, the venue is beside a brewery which sounds right up @Dr. Eddies Wingman's street.

In the centre circle, the upper part symbolises FTGGOG: A wolf in clothing, a cross (God) and blood around a house.
The next one clock-wise is 2MTM. A nuclear head and baby in the womb ("To kill the unborn in the womb").

The others I have no idea about yet:
-Some kind of helping hand and a symbol.
-A bottle of whiskey and a hedgehog.
-Light switch and snowflakes.

Come on Iron Maiden picture game specialists...

A nuclear head?? That is obviously a fish! Hooks in You? ;) When the river runs deep?

Just for you, my friend.

Moonchild
Ghost Of The Navigator
Revelations
Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
The Trooper
The Clansman
Run To The Hills
Flash Of The Blade / Sun And Steel
For The Greater Good Of God
Stranger In A Strange Land
Alexander The Great
Fear Of The Dark
Iron Maiden
--------------------------------------------------
The Number Of The Beast
2 Minutes To Midnight
Flight Of Icarus (Bruce used to close with it on solo tours)
We can only hope for such a set list. Realistically it's going to be picked from the last two history tours. I would have preferred a 90s tour or new album.

So get ready for more Notb, rtth, Trooper, Wrathchild, aces high, phantom, Revelations, wasted years, 2m2m, FOTD, iron maiden, running free, sanctuary, madness, evil that men do. That's 15 tracks! Perhaps they'll do an acoustic version of Wrathchild and throw in a random track from a more recent album like they did with ATSS on ME tour.

That said I'll be buying a ticket next week! I'm a mug!

Is it possible that the artwork is just artwork and has nothing to do with the setlist? And having only seen Maiden 3 times, I'll be more than happy with any set they do if I get a chance to see them again. And even if you have seen them a ton of times, just remember that they won't be around much longer and if you do that another chance to see them, you should take advantage of that no matter what they play.

As I've said already, I'm sure everyone involved with Maiden is laughing at how we're interpreting that artwork.

I agree that we should take every opportunity to see them, particularly as the time is short. I'll go even if they play 'No Prayer for the Dying' in full.

Just by tripping over the artwork as most, here are my guesses:

Winged man (Flight Of Icarus), Caught Somewhere In Time?, the fly (Lord Of The Flies), Scottish or greek flag plus the tale of the mosquito bite (The Clansman? Alexander The Great?), white wolf near church (Dance Of Death? For The Greater Good Of God?), cross (Sign Of The Cross?), blacksmith (The Duellists? Sun And Steel? Flash Of The Blade?), fetus (Moonchild?), human hand shaking 'monster' hand/a deal? (Prodigal Son? The Evil That Men Do?), british flag with anubis on top (Aces High? These Colours Don't Run?), stars/snowflakes and a switch? (Starblind? Stranger In A Strange Land?), winged black being (The Fallen Angel?), circle between bottle and compass (The Talisman?), compass (Ghost Of The Navigator?), mushroom cloud (Brighter Than A Thousand Suns?), reptile eye (Be Quick Or Be Dead?), whiskey bottle (Running Free?), cannons (Paschendale?), 666 on stained glass in various forms (Back In The Village?), parchment at the gates of heaven (Heaven Can Wait?), bomb?/warhead?/fish? (Tailgunner? Sea Of Madness?).

It's... underwhelming. Legacy of the Beast - never liked the idea of a tour based around a mobile game. Thought it's unlikely but I was wrong. I don't like the art direction of the game so I'm curious if the production of the show will be similar.

"The tour is expected to continue in 2019." This means 2020 for the new album at the earliest...

The "eighties material" part is the most disappointing. Seriously? So much talking about how Maiden is all about here and now and this is the third 80s-centric tour between albums in a row. Oh, well. This is a good opportunity to redeem themselves and play Infinite Dreams this time. :) And debut Alexander. If they won't include like 5 deep cuts, then it's gonna be really dull.

I have to give them credit - just when I thought they were out of obvious tie-ins/call backs to the 80s to use for touring purposes (no more greatest hits albums or retro tours to use once Maiden England was done), they come up with something else...
