What they need to do is updating stage construction. It's just painted boxes. Maybe they add a detail, like sarcophagus on SBiT or bulkheads on TFF but the general layout hasn't changed in decades. Notice that Somewhere on Tour stage was very light on graphic details and very heavy on the shapes.
Yeah. I like the layout, bad as it is for hiding guitarists and Nicko. Screens and stuff would really add something, though, especially if they'e not trying to cram everything including the band into a 757.

IDK about the screens. Consider that Maiden are running and jumping all over the stage, against a static backdrop, where the contrast works, and does not take attention away from the stuff that bandmembers do on stage. They also have 5 members upfront, where bands like Metallica or Sabbath have 3 members upfront on a stage of same size, they need to utilize gadgetry to add some dynamism to the scene. I think this is the reason behind reluctance to "update" the stage.
