Seriously though, I'm just glad Purgatory is hanging in there.
Now bracing myself for the inexplicable love for Eclipse, easily the worst song on Beast.

But it deserves sooooo much better. My favorite song from the Killers album! I even have a really crappy quality mp3 of this song from Bruce's first concert with Maiden on my phone, that I listen to quite often. I love him singing this song with those high-pitched vocals.

I'd say Purgatory is my second favourite song from that album behind the title track. Really great song, with either Bruce or Paul on vocals.

Have we ever done a Maiden survivor where people vote for their favourite songs, instead of their least favourite?
It would be interesting to see how different the results are: most loved versus least disliked.

This has been on my to do list for a couple years now. Didn't do it this time since there's a new album and I wanted to stick to the traditional way for that. But next year, unless there are any major objections, it will be backwards!

I often listen in the wrong order when I take part in the bigger survivors (eg this and Nightwish) so there's less chance of album prejudice.
