Yeah, for me, this is just an aesthetic thing. I don't believe it was an attempt to do "bucktoothed Asian" stereotypes. I think @Iron Lurker has it right when he refers to oni imagery. I'm just not a fan of the two being brought together - Eddie is monster enough on his own, don't you think?

Kind of similar to how many people aren't the biggest fan of Alien Eddie.

i see. I don’t think it was an intentional slight, especially in today’s climate. I also think Eddie would have been bad ass enough without the additional top fangs.
And for the record the best Eddie is Live after death Eddie OR Can I play with madness Eddie (the one with the fist going through with the brain.)

In this case it was the upload, if you listen to the content ID version it sounds better. YouTube caps bitrate at 320k and its AAC not MP3 which is better. You can always listen to the FLAC on Deezer using Freezer

While this is true, it isnt super common knowledge that YouTube will always be a worse sounding platform. So it’s forgiveable.

They do talk about rebirth of Eddie, so perhaps he is going to like like this on the artwork, following tour etc.

I think the Eddie will be completely different for the album cover and maybe the tower from the poster will be included in the artwork too.

However WOTW not appearing on the AMOLAD graphic seems to hint against that.

You probably should. I didn't get to see those videos because I don't follow the band on social media, and I'm sure that's the case for many other fans as well.

I've watched the video a few times now, just studying the narrative, and samurai Eddie doesn't make much sense in the story. The rest of the story is pretty coherent imo, although scrambled from bits and pieces of everything. The cloaked character falls into the core and transforms into. Samurai Eddie, and it only makes sense to me if it's going to be used elsewhere. Looking at the story and the Adam and Eve thing, Eddie has released "man" to do whatever they want (by giving them the apple) and not be chained. So Eddie is a serpent kind of character here and that would be an interesting concept visually.

The new album cover really feels like an open book still.

Edit: Japanese partially use Chinese characters, they just call them Kanji instead of Hanzi. Meaning is usually the same, pronunciation different.
