That was not the case for AMOLAD (The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg was the first single). ;)

That being said, all those reports are basically creating news from the rumours about the band being in Paris recorded an album. They then get translated into another language and find their way to another webzine and people end up believing it's news.
 
I think we might see a repeat of what happened before with an ominous teaser with a date on it posted on YouTube with the tour aftermath and thank you videos and whatnot, followed by an official announcement on that date. I don't see a release happening this year, though. Too little time to really ramp up the promotions and announce tour details.

Rumour has it that Maiden will be playing in Europe in 2020 (festivals + their own shows). If there is any truth in that, the announcement would have to be way before Christmas.

Where does the rumour come from? But yeah, a European tour next year makes all the sense in the world given they aren't playing here this year..
 
If it's true, it's what's expected at least. When did they last drop Europe two years in a row? I'm just hoping for London shows. Tour start in Tallinn again would be nice.

Nope. It was a promoter who was teasing that he did know what Maiden would be doing in 2020 (giving strong hints that they would be playing in a European country where he had promoted a big Maiden show).

Regardless of his comment/hint/tease, it makes perfect sense for Maiden to return to Europe in 2020 with a new album to promote.
 
I can feel a re-tread of the first leg of the TBOS tour. Which means only thing, I'm probs gonna have to be stuck in the pissing rain, in the middle of a field just to see Maiden again.
 
Maiden usually do a proper UK tour for a new album. I'd be surprised if it was a festival only tour maybe it might be like TBOS with the full tour to follow after the festival date.
