Iron Maiden News, Links, and Interviews

Because it would be cool and special, and Blaze is still good live. And I doubt we will see a reunion with former members live (even for one show), so there's that too. They are good friends with him.
Edit: this won't do Blaze any favors, especially next to Bruce, but that doesn't matter anymore (with the solo career he has now). A one-off event celebrating Maiden's history would be great. Bruce is the best for the band, but every former member of it is an important part of the journey. Blaze always will be associated with Maiden. I think he's better accepted among the fans now.

This.
Iron Maiden dont do things like that, like a cabaret show before them.

There was an item about the Maiden concert on the VTM news last night!
They showed excerpts from Caught Somewhere In Time, Stranger In A Strange Land, The Writing On The Wall and Fear Of The Dark.
They also mentioned Bruce was a pilot, they went to a local wine bar the night before the gig, they were named after a medieval torture device and showed a lucky girl who caught one of Nicko´s used drumheads after the concert. "How cool is this" was her reaction.

From the METAL HAMMER podcast interview with Mario Hanel, co-founder of Crew Republic brewery:
Iron Maiden became aware of this brewery for the "Progressive Lager" because of the awards it has already won. Bruce wanted a beer that could be drunk in large quantities. It is not too bitter but has a fruity note. For this, hops are again added to the cold beer.

Blabbermouth is posting silly things that happened many days ago on the tour.
2 Days ago they're posting the Steve fall on stage like it was stunning news when it was happened at the beginning of the tour.

Adding hops to the cold beer (during fermentation) is called "dry hopping". It's the newest (not new, but popular) way of hopping beers more intensely without adding bitterness to them. This is also the same process used to make Hazy IPAs taste juicier instead of more bitter.

This newish style of dry-hopping lagers used to be called India Pale Lager (IPL), then just Hoppy Lager, then Cold IPA (stupid), but Progressive Lager is a new one for me.

Artwork of ''Where Eagles Dare'' by the artist who has done some of Maiden's tour shirts for the last 3 tours in his very recognizable style.

Not Eddie as a soldier, but POM Eddie's head is here!
