Hints collection thread for 2023

So, I have read all these comments about Senjutsu + SiT tour, but for me it doesn't make any sense. It is obious that Maiden will concentrate on Senjutsu next year. Why would they mix it with SiT.

I think people are having too much hope in Senjutsu + SiT tour.
What would they even play from SiT? Caught Somewhere in Time, TLOTLDR, Deja Vu and Sea of Madness are definetly out of the equation. So that leaves 4 songs, that have chance of being played and out of those one is problematic due to fan participation, one hasn't been played since 1999 and one has never been played. Would they really play four songs with such complicated circumstances?

But still, Bruce was teasing something on couple of shows. To me it seems Bruce was teasing the crowds like he was teasing them in 2019 with new music coming sooner rather than later (altough it came later than we expected :D ). So what was he teasing this time ?

My guess is that he was teasing us with Alexander The Great being played next year. Yeah, I know, lots of fans think that it ain't gonna happen ever, but I have feeling, that Maiden have changed their minds and are ready to play it. They know fans want it, half of the band is ready to play it. Alexander being played is kinda same as when they played Powerslave on BoS tour. They had Mayan setting with song about ancient Egypt, connection being pyramids and that kind of culture or something in that direction. This time Maiden will have Japanese setting that doesn't exactly fit with ancient Greece, but they have songs that have similar theme - Stratego for example. As we know Alexander was great tactician and Senjutsu means art of war, tactics and strategy.

What will really happen, we will see, but my money is on Alexander!

Yes you're right I don't see why Maiden skip Senjutsu tour 23 but if they are trolling us, chapeau:applause:...they are doing very well!!:D...anyway,I'm joking, also my money on ATG. For everything else, nothing changes for me...greetings!

Because COVID held them back, they could sacrifice the Senjutsu tour. After all the 3 new songs didn't go very well with the crowd in my experience.

Absolutely true, unfortunately covid has changed everyone plans. For everything happened @ Bologna, you know, I haven't see Maiden in this leg but it seems to me that TWOTW has gone very well, from what I've seen around the net, maybe I'm wrong it was just my impression...cheers.

Maiden will never skip an album tour. However, they could do only 1 leg of it (because of the delay). It doesn't matter if they are well received, these 3 songs are some of the most important in the album (title track and two lead singles) and TWOTW is already a live favorite.

As I said before, if the Senjutsu tour is only 1 leg, then they can do a Hits tour in 2024/2025 with a new album in 2026 - it's possible.
Bruce mentioned in an interview last year that he and Steve have discussed possible future tours like: only epics, songs that have not been played for a long time or an album in its entirety (TNOTB was his example).
edit: Bruce: ''There will be, I'm certain, another tour in which we will do some songs that we haven't played for a long, long time''.

He was definitely talking about Wasting love and Holy smoke.

Anything is possible. There's a song they're doing on the LOTB tour that I'm sure some of us never thought they would do.
Flight Of Icarus
This was hinted at by Bruce in his book (something something, it's been long enough, I'm sure we could compromise on the tempo) and somewhat similarly Steve hinted that he wouldn't mind playing Only the Good Die Young live some day when they did the SSOASS listening party. ATG obviously has been the forever never song forever that they've promised to play one day since whenever, so if I had to take a wild guess at two super-rarities they might do it'd be those two.

That'd more than make up for the rest of the set being more usual fare, i.e. six Senjutsu songs, one reunion track, rest of the set space occupied by classics and Wasted Years. SIASL might make it in if they wanted to underline SiT in particular beyond just the obvious impact of finally playing ATG.

Remember the Twitter account Daniel / bels_feast (https://twitter.com/bels_feast) that was active last summer?

Well, now we have...

I'd say that someone is definitely having fun with all this... :) Check the posts and especially accounts that are followed...
Remember, it doesn't exactly mean anything - I think it's more about someone having a lot of fun with the ongoing speculation, rather than hinting, indicating or confirming anything that's about to happen. Might very well be a fellow-fan just trolling... ;)
