Guess The Iron Maiden Song!

Clue #1: MC's formicidal geometry
Clue #2: When heaven can no longer wait, I might be all out of luck again... or maybe I'll be ahead of the game again... don't you think?
Clue #3: Wailing root and liquid flame, a zombie inmate and a nuclear game. A futile rush, a demonic figure, mask and cloak, and a musket trigger. Homesick for a band of brothers, all-seeing eyes crippled by darkness' cover. You'll all be "gotten", whatever the cost- yet despite eternal evil, no freedom is lost. Betwixt two of these riddles, I might've been found, had terror not choked my eternal crown.
Clue #4: Acronymically and lyrically, I teach the Ego what it does not yet know.
Clue #5: Steve must have been wearing 110 dB-attenuating earplugs on September 1, 2003.

Wrong guesses: Where Eagles Dare, Virus, Brighter Than A Thousand Suns, Montségur, Dance of Death, The Clairvoyant, If Eternity Should Fail, The Red And The Black, The Angel And The Gambler, Iron Maiden, Total Eclipse, The Book of Souls, Revelations, Paschendale, 2 Minutes To Midnight, Moonchild, Empire of the Clouds, Lord of Light, Strange World, Wildest Dreams, Dream of Mirrors, The Clansman, No More Lies.

Clue #6: If these hints seem too difficult, just know even Steve has trouble understanding the concept behind this song... and he wrote the damn thing!

Infinite Dreams

WINNER! :D

Clue #1: MC Escher's "Mobiüs Strip II". MC = MC Escher, formicidal = pertaining to the formicidae family of insects (ants), geometry = the shape, which has historically been associated with the concept of "infinity".
Clue #2: "I'd like to think that when I die, I get a chance, another try"
Clue #3:
  1. Wailing root ("hear the mandrake scream" - Moonchild)
  2. and liquid flame, ("your soul's gonna burn in a lake of fire" - Can I Play With Madness)
  3. a zombie inmate ("feeling dead on my feet" - The Prisoner)
  4. and a nuclear game. (doomsday clock/nuclear proliferation - 2 Minutes To Midnight)
  5. A futile rush, (charge of the light brigade - The Trooper)
  6. a demonic figure, (devilish number - 666 - The Number of the Beast)
  7. mask and cloak, (The Phantom of the Opera)
  8. and a musket trigger. (Custer's last stand/Custer walk-on Eddie - Run To The Hills)
  9. Homesick ("I close my eyes and think of home" - Wasted Years)
  10. for a band of brothers, (lots of siblings - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son)
  11. all-seeing eyes ("he could see the future" - The Clairvoyant)
  12. crippled by darkness' cover. (...Fear of the Dark)
  13. You'll all be "gotten", ("Iron Maiden's gonna get you" - Iron Maiden)
  14. whatever the cost- ("We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be" - Aces High)
  15. yet despite eternal evil, ("The evil that men do lives on and on" - The Evil That Men Do)
  16. no freedom is lost. (having freedom, remaining free, being free... Running Free)
Betwixt two of these riddles I might've been found, (between 2MTM and Trooper, spot number 5 above)
had terror (terror = fear - Afraid To Shoot Strangers)
not choked my eternal crown. (bumped this amazing, rare song song off the setlist!)

Clue #4: The acronym of "Infinite Dreams" is "ID", and the song is about nightmarish realizations while dreaming. According to Carl Jung, dreams are where the Id expresses to the Ego what it doesn't understand.
Clue #5: The human scream is around 110 decibels, and Wildest Dreams was released on Sept. 1, 2003 - "I couldn't hear those screams, even in my Wildest Dreams"
Clue #6: "Infinity is hard to comprehend" - Steve Harris, Infinite Dreams - 1988 :D

Congrats! Your turn, @Jer !

Congrats! Your turn, @Jer !
Thanks. I’m kicking myself for not getting it right off of clue #1, because I knew the reference; and I’m downright embarrassed I didn’t get it off of clue #4, because I figured it had to be something with the initials “I.D.”, and it just didn’t come to mind at the time. At least I acquitted myself in the end.
